The Proton Therapy Division of VMS is looking for a qualified candidate to provide onsite Software Field Service Engineer. The following describes the job responsibilities and characteristics of a successful candidate:


?Provides on-site client support for the Proton Therapy equipment and handles any technical issue
?uates designs deploy and maintains highly available and reliable corporate IT infrastructure services
?Manages software releases
?Provides training to clients in the use of systems and applications as related to PT equipment.
?Identifies and corrects or advises on operational issues in client computer systems.
?Performs creation of new accounts using company provide software tools.
?Makes recommendations for upgrades or changes to the software as needed
?Ability to work independently and efficiently without direct supervision. Meets deadlines
?Self-motivated, detail oriented and organized
?Experience with troubleshooting software issues
?Excellent communication skills required
?Must be an excellent troubleshooter using experience, resources, initiative and tools to analyze and correct issues in an efficient and expedited manner whilst taking care not to disrupt other services and installations. Constantly seeks to solve problems at the root level and automates processes where possible

Required Skills:

oBA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related field plus two years of related experience or
oRelevant IT certifications plus two years of practical, related experience or related military experience

Preferred Skills:

oExperience with medical equipment installation and support
oIT infrastructure development
oExperience troubleshooting hardware and ded software systems
oWorking knowledge of PLCs and other automation systems
oWindows Server administration
oDomain Named System – DNS
