CWA Middle School teachers provide high-quality teaching, effective use of resources, and improved standards of learning and achievement for all students. Additional pastoral and extra-curricular requirements will exist in addition to their responsibilities as class teachers. Management structure and procedures? The implications of learning support needs, gifted and talented needs, ELL, differentiation, inquiry methodology and technology integration for effective teaching and learningPlanning and setting expectations:? Set expectations for students and the school in relation to standards of student achievement and the quality of teaching.? Collaborate with all department staff to ensure teaching is set to match with students’ needs.? Contribute to, with the involvement of the relevant staff, short, medium and long term plans for the development and resourcing of the program? Identify realistic and challenging targets for student improvement? Clarity regarding ****s to be taken, timescales, and criteria for successTeaching and managing student learning:? Curriculum coverage, continuity, and progression in all areas for all students, including those of high ability and those with learning support or proficiency needs? Collaboration and reflection on teaching and learning methods are used to meet the needs of the department and of all students? Setting and marking students’ work accurately and ****ly, giving additional guidance and work according to their needs.? Ensuring he/she is fully aware of all the School’s policies relating to students and act accordingly to protect and enhance the physical and emotional welfare of the studentsAssessment and ****uation:? Prioritise and manage own time effectively, particularly in relation to balancing the demands made by teaching and involvement in school development? In consultation with Principals and when asked, help to ensure that new teachers are appropriately trained, monitored, supported, and assessed in relation to subject area needs and administrative procedures?
