Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated scientist/scientific associate to join our in vivo Cancer Pharmacology and Cancer Translational Research team at China Novartis Institute for Biomedical Research (CNIBR) located in the newly completed state-of-art campus in Zhangjiang, Pudong, Shanghai. The scientist/scientific associate will lead/perform in vivo studies in the characterization and development of novel anti-cancer agents, including both small molecules and biologics. The person will interact with in vitro biology, medicinal chemistry, DMPK and bioinformatics teams to advance oncology agents through the R&D pipeline.

Key responsibilities include:
?Establish and characterize animal tumor models
?Conduct in vivo pharmacology studies to evaluate MTD, PK/PD correlation and efficacy of novel therapeutic agents, as well as investigate their mechanism of action in animal tumor models
?Analyze the results and present research findings to project teams
?keep up-to-date with the literature related to the projects
?Effectively collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
?Manage out-sourcing projects when needed
?Highly value and fully follow IACUC, IP, ISEC and HSE policies

Qualifications:
?A MS degree with 3+ years of experience, or a BS degree with 5+ years of experience in in vivo cancer pharmacology
?Industrial working experiences, especially the experiences in leading in vivo cancer pharmacology studies is preferred
?Solid hands-on skills in cell culture, cell/tumor implantation, drug administration and tissue sampling
?Expertise in in vivo bioluminescence imaging technique and X-ray irradiator is a plus.
?Experience in development or validation of an animal clinical scoring system is a plus.
?Skilled at small animal surgery is a plus.
?Experience in novel in vivo techniques is a plus.
?Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and record-keeping skills
?Demonstrate a high level of initiative in troubleshooting experiments
?Capable of working both independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams
?Great communication and presentation skills
?Working proficiency in English
